Amor Esquelético y El Corazón

January's Pillow

Done! Finished! FIN!
And a day early, I might add.

I've gotta say, I'm pretty happy with the way it came out (even though it was so extremely far off of what I had originally intended) I think the turning point was when I picked the fabric. It played a crucial role in the overall finished product.

                                                                  STOP!...Picture Time !
Front Panel [knit with crocheted vines]
Heavily pinned skeletons. What can I say, I like pins!
Sewing the Skeleton couple to their final resting place
Busy at work on the sewing machine
Front
Back
[ I am completely in love with this fabric ]
Buying more & they will become curtains
El Corazón (The Heart)

... And there you have it! The skeleton dude - or who I like to call El Corazón - is just a little something I did today while. I found him after Halloween for only 25 cents at a craft store. Today, he got some color and decoration - all thanks to Sharpie's!

I know Dia De Los Muertos [ Day of the Dead] is celebrated on November 2nd, but if you know anything about me, I love skulls, skeletons and bright colors year round!

Off to work on February's pillow.

Oh yeah! Keep checking back. I think in March [possibly April] I'm going to be giving away one of my pillows in a blog giveaway. Currently working out all the little details.

Until next time, Stay Warm - Stay Safe and Happy Crafting!!
